DISASTER! Someone has broken into my shed, ripping both doors off their hinges even though the shed was not locked! This is a very mean-spirited burglary as I never lock my shed because the doors don’t really close properly and they could easily have broken in without breaking anything. Maybe the thieves were cross because when they opened the doors they realised there really was nothing of any real monetary value to steal unless they wanted some compost or a trowel or two rickety deck chairs. I don’t keep my only power tool – my strimmer – at the allotment for the very reason that it would probably get stolen. So they didn’t take anything that I can see but did attack the shed with bad grace. A gentleman burglar or burglaress would never have done that.
