Where have we been?

Our ambition is to tour Can You Dig It? to every county in the UK.

Bringing veg to Skeg

We had a really great time doing the show at The Storehouse in Skegness last night. It’s a newly-opened church/community centre/arts centre/conference centre that used to be a skating rink. When we were backstage getting ready for the show there was a Bible meeting going on in the next room. Dan was practicing Derrick the Evil Pigeon and for some reason was singing “EVIL, EVIL, EVIL, EVIL” over and over again in a loud booming voice. I hope this did not disturb the Bible students next door.

After the show we were keen to get some food so drove round Skegness seeking sustenance. However, we got horribly lost and confused until we spied a large 24 hour supermarket. When we got out of the car we were approached by an undercover policeman who said he’d been watching us going round in circles in a bizarre fashion and now Dan had to take a breath test – the policeman was quite apologetic about it. Thankfully Dan passed with flying colours scoring 0 on the alcohol scale – Dan NEVER drinks and drives, kids. Later I saw the very same policeman in the supermarket buying some potatoes, which seemed fitting somehow.

Tonight we’re off to Nottinghamshire for a show at Upton Village Hall.
